Sorbonne: Ceremony Honoris Causa for the German President Joachim Gauck

The Choir and Orchestra of the Sorbonne Universities and I had the great honour to participate in the Ceremony Honoris Causa for the German President Joachim Gauck. He told me that - although he has listened to the national anthems so many times, it was a very touching moment to listen to the German and the French anthem in this "moment of friendship".

Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung: Gauck sagt, wie sehr er sich freue, wie sehr es ihn gerührt habe, dass die deutsche und die französische Nationalhymne gesungen worden seien, wertet die „feierliche Handlung“ als Zeichen der deutsch-französischen Verständigung.
