Vive l'Europe!

It was a great honour for the Orchestre Universitaire de Strasbourg and me to be invited to play at the European Ceremony of Honour for Helmut Kohl at the European Parliament. I was honoured to conduct the German and European Anthem with the participation of the fantastic Choeur Philharmonique de Strasbourg (Direction Catherine Bolzinger).

The music was highly appreciated by a worldwide TV audience and by the international participants of the Ceremony. (Bill Clinton: "Great!", Angela Merkel "Wunderbar! vielen Dank!", ...)

The Orchestre Universitaire de Strasbourg is one of the most active student orchestras in Europe, organizing at least one orchestra exchange, tournee or shared concert per year with other European Orchestras. Next Highlight of this European engagement will be the European Student Orchestra Festival 2018, that the OUS will host in June 2018 in Strasbourg.

We are thankful to live in a peaceful, free, united Europe.
